This bike brings back so many fond memories. A good friend of mine used to have the same frame, you have done an amazing job on pimping it up!

Dude that is a nice bike but I’m almost certain it isn’t a Kuwahara.

It’s all wrong to be a Kuwahara, the gusset is wrong the rear dropouts are wrong.

You certainly don’t see any frames like that in any of the Kuwahara catalogues.

That bike looks great.
I think at some stage someone has just put Kuwahara stickers on a low end frame as kids tended to do.

If you look at your original photo there are Kuwahara fork stickers on the seat tube and the seat tube sticker is on the top tube.

The frame is something like a Hanimex, a low end department store bike.

It isn’t like any of the high end Kuwahara frames or even the low end Kuwahara Apollo frames.

The Kuwahara models are pretty well documented with plenty of info still available.
