...It might also look like a present you keep forgetting to give your child or niece, nephew, etc.
In which case those that keep seeing it there, in your neighbourhood, will by then become use to it and mark you as someone with an eccentric personality. Perhaps?
Because whilst this bike suggests to me that it’s fast and can go long distances, very much like an escapist
model, it really is a neighbourhood bike which holds your daily shopping, presents, and intelligent ideas. Such as like the intelligent idea which one would form to come up with such an original, yet practical concept for a Hybrid bicycle.
Well done! Original. Fine. Fast. Eccentric, even. Nothing like this in Sydney as far as I am aware.
Thanks for the complement, Dick. Coming from a Dutch man, let alone a 51 year-old Dutch man who has probably been cycling for longer than I have been alive (35 yo) - it’s a fine complement.
The Dutch understand bicycles best, in my view, and I have fond memories of observing Dutch time-trialists at the Tete de la Course of many fine European races. They are always ready and willing to make the break like real pirates, and demand those following to chase them down. I am always on their side to NOT be caught!
Wow, very nice bikes, both of them. Excellent work. What caught my eye though are the beige rims on the blue bike, and the leather-colored tires. Would you mind posting the specs of those and where you got them?
Thanks a lot! Looking forward to your next bike :D
First of all thanks for the compliments.
Well the collours aren’t very well on that picture. The frame is blue /grey or grey/blue
The rims I just sprayed myself , its a yellow/braun,yellow/sandy colour.
The tyres are from vredestein , a Dutch brand. But as far as I know the do not produce these anymore.
Without Mohammed and Kachel I couldn’t build bicycles.
They are a great support , and will be towards the next projects.
These little guys are great , and always will be.
Nice bike, shame you couldn’t write a few more words on the build and spec.
