This is the kind of bike you would ride during a bright sunny sunday in the middle of spring, with your newspaper under your arm, heading to you favorite breakfast bar or at least this is what we are used to do in Italy.
Viking frame, rare Brooks b15 black, chrome vintage fork drilled for a front brake, coaster brake wheelset — so you can brake by backpedaling — vintage white Michelin tires, an old rare Gipiemme crankset with a golden finish chainring. Not to mention a rare Titan stem (similar to cinelli design) coming directly from belgium from the ‘60. To complete the setup a brand new wooden handlebar special designed by adam brackney.
This kind of classy, faultless rebuild is what has got me into the whole single speed / fixie retro thing.
An absolutely adorable bike. A credit to you and your hard work. The stem and handebars blow me away - reminds me of the classic old bondwood ski boats from the 30’s and 40’s - love it.

Thanks for the link, Matt; but it is not quite the same. I love the fact that the one on this bike is underslung, gives the bike a whole different personality, especially in profile.
you can purchase a stem like that from Milwaukee Bicycle Co. here. http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=188_263_1332_926&products_id=5173.

I would sell some of my toes for a stem like that. Beautiful bike.
