My close friend Ian Sutton, aka Icarus Frames, built this frame. The bike is fillet brazed and features a wishbone seat stay and a double seat tube. This is frame no. 3. Check him out at icarusframes.com
nice looking bike , the seat tube is also interesting.
nice colour too
love the wheel clearance where rear brake would go (if it had one). .. looks hot.
carbon seat eh???
@ maximus - The bike rides great. The theory behind the double seat tube was that the thinner tubes spaced wider on the bottom bracket would pretty much be equal to a larger single tube in the center of the bb. I don’t weigh much and really can’t feel a difference.
@ Chris - Thanks for the award! Lovely site you’ve got here.
I’ll be receiving my second Icarus in about a month, I’ll be sure to submit.
This bike didn’t get Editor Choice straight away. However i keep getting drawn back to the frame design, and how unique it is so i think it’s only just the award goes to this bike.
