I built this bike up to suit the terrain where I live, and my style. There are no huge mountains but a lot of forest and unkempt trails that need a lot of climbing. Many are unclimbable, but they are great for descents. I’m not racing anymore, and I just get out there to explore and traverse the local area: The Rohloff hub makes everything that little bit more simple, reliable, and most of all fun. The bike took me a year to get together.
Rad bike. Love the Rohloff, such a great bit of kit you can trust. Shame other components aren’t as well made/reliable. The rest of your build looks good also. Would like to see a spec list.
Enjoy.
hey, thanks. Yep, I was freaked out by the cost of it too, but the more I thought about it and the lack of alternatives, the more I convinced myself that I “needed” it ...he he. I love it. it isn’t a light bike, but the ride is great, and surprisingly fast.

Nce bike :) I love the idea of running a Rohloff on a trail bike- it’s just the cost!
